Satellite is the multidisciplinary creative practice of designer and art director Vaughn Fender. Guided by deep research and intentional strategy, the practice builds bold, engaging brands and unique experiences for clients ranging from boutique startups to global icons. At its core, my design approach is about transmitting impactful ideas. The name Satellite captures that spirit of discovery—born from a deep process-driven curiosity and a lifelong obsession with NASA and sci-fi films.
I believe design should be functional, beautiful, and strategic while maintaining a distinct human touch. True power lies in clarity, and the most compelling work happens at the intersection of culture and craft—elevating lived experiences and the stories that deserve to be heard.
Based in Hartford County, Connecticut, I have spent two decades as an Art Director and illustrator building cohesive visual systems. My work spans branding, art direction, UX, and illustration—always centered on collaborating with visionaries to bring big ideas to life. Between studio projects, I maintain a diverse practice that spans murals and multi-disciplinary art.
